Humour In Urban Spaces Through Art (40 Photos)

Lyon is the capital city in France’s Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. The city’s unique skyline is jammed with loads of landmarks and monuments, from fountains to churches, Roman ruins or Castles to amazing towers and even their streets are designed with colorful artworks. Do you wanna know why? It’s because the French artist CAL has made it his mission to do bring art into every street of Lyon.

With an endless palette of objects and materials available in public places, he creates clever, non-destructive installations. Where we might see a puddle of dirty water, he sees a man swimming. Where we see a bush, he sees a nest of baby birds. He’s responsible for transforming urban spaces into a coloring book, loaded with painted humor, which draws everyone’s attention to places that are barely noticeable for random people.

Scroll down and take a look at some of his works below! Enjoy peeps.
